Humble Channel
The Humble Channel fishing spot wasn't named that because it will humble you when you fish in this location. Nor was it named Humble Channel because anglers were humble. It was actually a nickname picked up from the old oil company "Humble Oil". Humble Oil used these channels to service their oil wells and natural gas locations throughout the Laguna Madre. Humble Oil originally was a Texas based company and later in 1972 changed their name to Exxon.Fishing is good year round at the Humble Channel which runs under the JFK causeway. Popular spot is right under the Humble bridge and fish the bottom. Fishing the edges of Humble Channel will also produce good results. Redfish, speckled trout, black drum, and others in this area.
